Laura Linney

Award winning actress and star of Showtime’s The Big C, Laura Linney reveals her Fall bag secrets!

Inside DVF: What do you look for in a bag?

LL: I’m a lugger…so I need a bag that is big enough to carry all my stuff while, at the same time, it doesn’t resemble a suitcase.

DVF: What do you always keep in your bag no matter what?

LL: Well other than the basics: keys, phone, etc. I always have a makeup bag with a few lip glosses and mascara, and a bag of  “in case” stuff—blister blockers, headache medicine, a Tide stick, breath mints, Band-Aids. And SUNSCREEN!!!!

DVF: What is your bag style? Do you keep it organized, or just throw everything in there?

LL: I like a big bag…but the danger is that I can spend waaaaay too much time rummaging around in there looking for stuff, which is both annoying and embarrassing. So I try to keep it neat in there. Zipper pouches are really helpful, as well as a weekly clean out of the entire bag. And I always love a small, elegant bag for evening, like my DVF Lytton Clutch.

DVF: Do you change bags with the season?

LL: I do tend to change bags with the season. I love switching from a rich leather bag to something lighter and more colorful for spring, and vice versa.

DVF: What is your biggest bag pet-peeve?

LL: That the bottoms of bags wear out too fast and lose their shape. Hate that.

Model, actress and newly appointed host of Project Accessory, Molly Sims reveals her Fall bag secrets!

Inside DVF: What do you look for in a bag?

Molly Sims: To fit a lot…and to look chic.  So I guess that means function and form!

DVF: What do you always keep in your bag no matter what?

MS: Lip gloss, pink blush, a pen (I’m always jotting notes…), and just before the wedding, a lot of planning stuff!

DVF: What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever found at the bottom of your bag?

MS: I don’t know about crazy, but crumbs from a protein bar are never a fun surprise…

DVF: Do you always match your bag to your shoes?

MS: No – I prefer not to be too matchy-matchy.

DVF: Is there something you wish you always had in your bag but never seem to?

MS: Advil! You never know when you might need one but I never seem to have one handy….

DVF: What is your bag style? Do you keep it organized, or just throw everything in there?

MS: I’m VERY organized in all facets of my life, but I think women’s bags are like kitchen sinks. Everything gets dumped in there…I love my DVF Harper because it conceals it all! But there is a method to the madness, I believe.

DVF: What is your biggest bag pet-peeve?

MS: A lot of logos. I like subtle.

DVF: Do you change bags with the season?

MS: I change bags when the mood strikes me!
