Resort 2014: Kaleidoscope

June 11, 2013

When Diane describes the Resort 2014 Collection, Kaleidoscope, she says “Every day is a turning point offering a new perspective.” In other words, every day is an opportunity to look chic. And Resort’s La Petite Valise of perfect dresses, leather hobos and printed pants offers a woman on the go plenty of options. The studio is all abuzz about the Amelia, which we are calling “The New Wrap” for its structured mikado skirt. The result is an endlessly flattering, show-a-little-leg ensemble that we are totally on board with—but never bored with. The season’s color palette is a dreamy mix of cobalt blues and kelly greens, all anchored by nautical stripes in black and white. Python is the commanding print, adding just the right amount of edge to chiffon blouses and sleek trousers, while body conscious is the silhouette of the moment—from playful party dresses (just in time for the holidays) to effortless knit shifts. So, whether you’re heading somewhere tropical or working in the city, the possibilities are endless. And if you just need a reason to look forward to November, it works for that, too.
