So, Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf’s opens today with a lot of excitement. A privileged peek at the inner workings of the lust-inducing department store, the documentary paints a colorful portrait of the Bergdorf’s trifecta: fashion director, Linda Fargo, straight-talking personal shopper Betty Halbreich and creator of the store’s show stopping windows, David Hoey. The director, Matthew Miele, sat down with designers (Diane, Karl Lagerfeld, Giorgio Armani, Marc Jacobs, Manolo Blahnik, Michael Kors) and clients (Joan Rivers, the Olsen twins) who sound off on the shopping mecca in an entertaining bit of fashion fodder that is certainly worth a pop into the theater this weekend. Oh, and we happen to think the Angelika has the best popcorn.
