Some Words to Make A Change

March 12, 2013

As Diane likes to say, “Words are powerful, use them carefully.” Clearly this is a lesson that director Jan Lisman— who harnessed the power of fashion a-listers (including some of our favorite faces, Cara Delevingne and Arizona Muse) at Paris Fashion Week to make a short film in celebration of International Women’s Day—has already learned. Produced between runway shows by Mann & Miller, ‘Some Words to Make A Change,” stars several female fashion insiders with a text written by Ash Bhalla and performed by Dolores Chaplin (the granddaughter of Charlie Chaplin). The movie beautifully articulates Lisman’s evocative “Art Beat” symbol, which is a call to action seeking to inspire an energized and feminine way of thinking. We like the sound of that.
