Behind the Collection: Palazzo

February 01, 2013

Diane began her design career in a factory in Italy, so it seems only fitting that our Spring 2013 Journey of a Jet-Set Princess should kick-off in the Eternal City. For February, our design team imagined a daydreaming gypsy princess draped in a chiaroscuro of black and white with splashes of Trevi Fountain blue. Think Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday meets Sophia Loren in It Started in Naples, sophisticated yet rebellious. Never one to shy away from embellishment, she is decorated in shining silver balls, always ready for adventure. Flowing tops are as essential as structured mini dresses, and leather is non-negotiable.

So, as Diana Vreeland might say, why don’t you hop on a Vespa in a pair of stilettos, match your outfit to your favorite gelato flavor, or tie a scarf around your head and wink at the paparazzi? Or, why don’t you come along on our journey to Rome and maybe we’ll do all three!
